Simon Jordan says Daniel Levy won’t even consider signing Romelu Lukaku for Tottenham Hotspur from rivals Chelsea.

The former Crystal Palace owner is good friends with the under-fire Tottenham chairman, and when asked if Daniel Levy would pick up the phone to sign Chelsea’s unwanted striker, he simply responded by saying: ‘I wouldn’t imagine that’s a particularly constructive conversation’, as he told talkSPORT.

Romelu Lukaku is currently training on his own and away from Chelsea’s first-team squad, with the club and the player sending out clear intentions that his future doesn’t lie at Stamford Bridge.

Last season, he spent his second loan spell at Inter and helped them reach the Champions League final, although, he was on the bench for the defeat to Manchester City and his season was hit by injuries.

As of this moment, the 30-year-old, who was once dubbed ‘world-class’ by now-Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel, is at a crossroads in his career.

That hasn’t stopped reports linking Spurs with the hard-hitting striker after they sold Harry Kane, with Jordan pulling no punches when criticising the player.

On Chelsea picking up the phone to Levy for Lukaku: “No, I wouldn’t imagine that’s a particularly constructive conversation.

“There is a mean-spirited side of me that suggests that Romelu Lukaku has got himself precisely what he deserves, but at Chelsea’s expense. He is still getting paid and he’s not playing – the objective of the game would be to get him away. Find a way to get him away.

“You want him out. It’s a waste of time. A waste of everybody’s energy. You have got a big player, with a big personality languishing around the training ground achieving the square root of bugger all, and ultimately, bringing in a bad example around him.”

Lukaku should head to Saudi

Not wanted by Chelsea, has very little interest in the Premier League and is not even wanted by Inter again, it’s best if Lukaku just picks up the bag and heads to Saudi.

The ever-growing league in the Middle East has far better players and strikers than the Belgian himself, so he is going to be another big name in what is a growing pond.

Of course, he can wait until the window slams shut in Europe, to see where he is at, before making that call because the Saudi window doesn’t close until post-September.
