Simon Jordan has stated that Newcastle United possibly signing Neymar is a ‘silly conversation’, as he told talkSPORT.
The former Crystal Palace owner labelled Neymar, 30, a ‘global superstar’ and added that he has ‘all the talent’ in the world.
Newcastle already have their own Brazilian star working his magic in the middle of the park in Bruno Guimaraes.
Even though the all-action midfielder joined the club in January, he is already a firm fan favourite with the St James’ Park faithful.
But with all the money in the world, Jordan made it clear that Newcastle won’t land Neymar’s talents any time soon.
“Neymar isn’t going to Newcastle,” said Jordan. “It’s a silly conversation. Newcastle aren’t in that position.
“Neymar is a global superstar. He is the embodiment of the modern-day footballer. All the talent, but lack of regard with the opportunity given.
“He isn’t going to land in Newcastle, so we might as well keep our powder dry.
“I hope Newcastle fans don’t see this as a castigation of their football club, and when he is 57 he signs for them, and I get proven wrong.”

NEWCASTLE HAVE ALREADY STARTED ON THE FRONT FOOT
The January transfer window is already proof that Newcastle can be trusted in the market.
The likes of Kieran Trippier, Matt Targett and Dan Burn, to name a few, were outstanding purchases/loan signings.
If they can replicate that this summer, then they will move forward next season and push towards the Premier League’s top ten.
The aim, of course in the long-term, is to push much higher than that, but at this moment in time, it’s about taking those small steps.
