The agent of reported Tottenham target Jesse Lingard was in attendance for Spurs’ 3-2 win against Newcastle on Sunday.
As noted by Sky Sports News presenter Pete Graves on Twitter, Lingard’s representatives were at St. James Park to watch the Premier League clash from the stands.
The £75,000-a-week Manchester United star has been linked with Tottenham over the past few months. And Lingard’s agent attending a fixture could add some more fuel to the fire.
However, there’s also a strong chance that Lingard’s agent was at St. James Park to talk to Newcastle. As well as Spurs, the Magpies have also been rumoured as potential suitors for the England international.
Indeed, with Lingard’s contract with United expiring next summer, it makes sense why his agent is taking a tour around the Premier League. The midfielder will no doubt be in demand when January rolls around.
And for Tottenham supporters, they are eager on their club being the ones to sign the England star. Lingard was sensational for West Ham last season, and that sort of form could be deadly alongside the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.
