Even though Matteo Guendouzi didn’t leave Arsenal on good terms, he’d never try and help their North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.

But unfortunately for the Gunners, that could wind up being the case anyway.

Not intentionally, of course, but Guendouzi could still aid Tottenham’s efforts to sign his France teammate.

Speculation is mounting the 23-year-old midfielder is on Juventus’ radar [Le Quotidien Du Sport, as covered by HITC Sport].

The only reason Juve may sign the former Arsenal starlet – now at Marseille – is as a replacement for Adrien Rabiot, who is out of contract next summer.

And with Tottenham leading the race to sign Rabiot [covered by HITC Sport], the World Cup runner-up, the Italian outfit might well let him go if Guendouzi indicates that he’s willing to join the Serie A outfit.

The former Lorient star is definitely going places in football, even if it didn’t work at the Emirates Stadium under Mikel Arteta.

He is destined to join a bigger club than Marseille at some point in 2023 and if a transfer to the Old Lady materialises in January, well it could lead to Rabiot signing for Arsenal’s bitter neighbours.

That being said, the Lilywhites are also interested in Franck Kessie of Barcelona, and signing both isn’t going to happen.

So who knows, perhaps Guendouzi could join the Italian giants and get away with helping Tottenham in the process.

But the orginal report specifically states that the two players’ fate is linked, in the sense that one would replace the other, so it’ll be fascinating to see how this one plays out.
