Who knows where it all went wrong for Matteo Guendouzi at Arsenal.

The France international left North London on a permanent basis of July of this year to join Marseille, following a successful loan spell back in Ligue 1.

After Unai Emery’s first season, it was clear that Arsenal had a future star in the former Lorient midfielder.

But once Mikel Arteta returned to the Emirates Stadium, friction began.

Guendouzi never played another minute for Arsenal after bragging about his wage packet in an ill-tempered clash away at Brighton & Hove Albion, following a war of words with Neal Maupay.

That incident [talkSPORT] pretty much provided the final nail in Guendouzi’s coffin as a Gunners’ player.

But everybody knows that he’s a very gifted footballer and that’s why he is now being linked with a big move away from Marseille.

According to Le Quotidien Du Sport, Juventus are interested in bringing the player to Italy.

The report claims that the Old Lady are weighing up a transfer for Guendouzi as a potential replacement for his France teammate Adrien Rabiot, who is linked with a move away, with his contract expiring next summer.

The good news for Arsenal is that Guendouzi could join Real Madrid tomorrow and no Gooner would really care that much.

Arteta has clearly had a vision of creating a peaceful and harmonious dressing room in North London and considering the Spaniard’s side are five points clear at the top of the Premier League, that vision is bearing fruit.

Arsenal supporters will wish Guendouzi well with whatever he does in football, but nobody will care all that much.
