Hull City’s Oumar Niasse scored against Liverpool, much to the delight of Everton fans.
Hull City loanee Oumar Niasse has told The Mirror that he’s sure Everton fans are happy with him after he scored against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers were faced with a tough task as Liverpool travelled to the KCOM Stadium on Saturday afternoon, but Marco Silva’s men served up an outstanding performance to win 2-0.
New signing Alfred N’Diaye marked his debut with the opening goal, before fellow Senegal international Oumar Niasse ran clear to make it 2-0 in the second half.

The win has given Hull renewed hope of achieving Premier League survival, whilst Niasse’s goal was met with laughter from Everton fans, as it not only ruled Liverpool out of the race for the title, but also put their top four spot in doubt.
Niasse, 26, joined Everton in January 2016 but made just two starts before the end of last season, as he struggled to reach full fitness under then-manager Roberto Martinez.

New Toffees boss Ronald Koeman arrived at Goodison Park and chose to freeze Niasse out of the squad, with the attacker failing to make even one first-team appearance under the Dutchman.
Niasse was sent out on loan to Hull earlier this month after spending the first half of the season in the Everton under-23 side, and he’s now commented on his exit – as well as his goal against Liverpool.
Speaking to The Mirror, Niasse admitted that he wants to prove himself in the Premier League having been shunned by Koeman at Everton, but feels that Toffees fans, many of whom criticised him social media, will now be happy with him after his goal against bitter rivals Liverpool.
“It’s not just about one goal, I have to prove myself in the Premier League,” said Niasse. “I didn’t have that time and that luck with Everton so now I’ve got it with Hull. I have to show my best example. I asked for time at Everton. I stayed there for five months, training with the second team, playing games with them and trying to give my best at every chance. That didn’t happen, but now I’ve got the chance to stay in the Premier League with Hull.”

“I heard a lot of things from social media, but I don’t like social media. My friends and my family would always get hurt, but I never would. I know football. I know you have people who don’t love you and people who don’t know football. The most important are people who know football and you listen to them. Everton and Liverpool is always there so to score against Liverpool is good for the Everton fans. I’m sure they are happy,” he added.
