The West Ham United striker would be a useful addition to the West Bromwich Albion squad.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis will surely be looking to strengthen his options at the Hawthorns in January, after his side’s underwhelming start to their 2017/18 Premier League campaign.

West Brom finished last season in a respectable 10th place in the table, but the club’s fans were demanding improvement in the manner that their side plays, and progression further up the table.

Neither of those things have happened, with the Black Country outfit currently sitting precariously in 15th position in the table, after a paltry return of just 10 points from their opening 10 league games.

One particular area of concern for Pulis will be his impotent frontline, with his side scoring just nine goals in the Premier League thus far.

With this in mind, the Baggies boss will surely be prioritising the signing of an established striker in January, and a useful option for them could be Hammers forward Diafra Sakho.

The 27-year-old’s future with West Ham seems to be uncertain to say the least, after he admitted that he still wants out of the club, and West Brom could be the ideal club for him to rediscover his mojo.

Sakho would be the perfect strike partner for Jay Rodriguez, what with his tireless work ethic, and his willingness to make runs behind the opposition’s defence into the channels.

The Senegal international is also an accomplished finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity, and if Pulis does in fact manage to bring him to the Hawthorns, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for West Brom.
