Sheffield Wednesday are the latest club to be linked with the Blackburn Rovers player, after Middlesbrough and Hull City.
Sheffield Wednesday are being linked with a £1 million move for Blackburn Rovers defender Charlie Mulgrew (Sun on Sunday), but it would appear they are not the only ones keen.
Last month, The Daily Mail reported that two of the Owls’ Yorkshire rivals, Middlesbrough and Hull City, are also monitoring the 31-year-old, who was relegated with Rovers last season.

Discussing his future earlier this summer, Mulgrew said he would be “happy to stay in the Championship if that’s what transpires”.
But could Wednesday have the upper hand on Middlesbrough and Hull, if Mulgrew gets his choice of destinations?
The former Celtic captain played alongside two Owls stars, Glenn Loovens and Gary Hooper, during his six years in Glasgow, and holidayed with the latter and their families in Sardinia last month.
And if that’s not a strong enough pull, four of Mulgrew’s past-and-present Scotland colleagues are also on the books at Hillsborough, as well as another north-of-the-border native, Ross Wallace.

For Wednesday, it would appear that convincing Blackburn to sell could be their biggest obstacle.
