Sheffield Wednesday’s Gary Hooper spent three years on the books of Celtic and remains popular with Bhoys supporters, it seems.
Sheffield Wednesday striker Gary Hooper
Gary Hooper’s latest Instagram post has prompted an emotional response from fans of the striker’s former club, Celtic.
Hooper, now a Sheffield Wednesday player, uploaded a photo of himself on holiday with a trio of old Bhoys teammates, Charlie Mulgrew, Adam Matthews and Joe Ledley.
And the 29-year-old, who scored 82 goals and won four major trophies in his three seasons at Celtic, found himself inundated with replies from those who once worshipped him at Parkhead.

One current Celtic player even felt inclined to comment, with defender Mikael Lustig adding the following response:
• @mikaellustig Squad
All four players have gone their separate ways in recent years, with Hooper heading to Sheffield Wednesday via Norwich City, Mulgrew at Blackburn Rovers, Matthews at Sunderland and Ledley a free agent after leaving Crystal Palace.

But it seems they are not the only ones to have taken an interest in the Welshman’s situation, with one Sheffield Wednesday follower, @shiftymat asking: “What are the chances of you talking Joe into joining you at the Owls?”
Would you take the quartet back at Celtic Park?
