Leeds defender Pontus Jansson captained Sweden last time out against Romania.

Malmo club captain Markus Rosenberg will have worried Leeds United fans after telling Swedish outlet Expressen that he believes Pontus Jansson is too good for the Elland Road club.
Jansson, 27, captained Sweden during the international break during a 1-0 loss to Romania as he prepares with his side for the World Cup in Russia this summer.
The former Torino and Malmo star has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Yorkshire since his move to Elland Road under Garry Monk, especially after starring in his first season at Elland Road and instantly becoming a fan favourite.

On the back of wearing the armband for his country, former teammate Rosenberg declared that he believes Jansson can play at a higher level than Championship giants Leeds in a nonchalant interview about the 6ft 4in defender.
“Pontus is good enough for a bigger club than he is with today,” Rosenberg said.
“But then I know he’s thinking like I did. He does not want to milk every year he can go abroad, but he wants to return home while still feeling he can make a big difference to the plan.”
Should Rosenberg’s comments worry Leeds fans?

Jansson is certainly a huge admirer of the legendary Swedish striker, who obtains icon status after scoring 60 goals in 144 games for Malmo. The duo combined for a short spell at Malmo in 2014.
Jansson showed his admiration for Rosenberg earlier this year, Tweeting the striker: “Glad to get to know this man, l learned things from him and that he is one of the biggest in history.”
It is clear that the Leeds defender looks up to Rosenberg and he may be swayed by the 35-year-old striker’s comments, with less than three months until the summer transfer window opens.
