Elliot is reportedly keen to leave Newcastle United on loan and a move to Celtic could be ideal.
Craig Gordon is said to be open to a move to Chelsea after the Blues had an offer turned down by Celtic (Scottish Sun).
The 34-year-old has been the Bhoys’ number one since 2014 and manager Brendan Rodgers is determined not to lose him. But if Gordon were to push through a move, would it really be the worst thing?
Though usually reliable, the Scotland international is prone to the odd lapse and spent four matches out of the side for exactly that reason earlier in the campaign.

Besides, £3 million is a fair amount for an ageing goalkeeper, especially with plenty of younger options set to become free agents this summer, including English-based trio Adrian (West Ham), Wayne Hennessey (Crystal Palace) and John Ruddy (Norwich City) – all but one of whom have international experience.
All Rodgers would need to do is find a stop-gap, and Newcastle United’s Rob Elliot, who was crowned Magpies player of the year as recently as last May, could be ideal.
The Irish Sun reported last week that Elliot is keen to leave St James’ Park on loan this month in a bid to win back his Republic of Ireland place, having fallen behind Magpies pair Karl Darlow and Matz Sels since damaging knee ligaments last term.
And where better to do that than at Parkhead – a destination which will no doubt appeal to his Celtic roots.

The only stumbling block could be Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez, who is adamant none of his keepers are going anywhere this month.
But surely even he will appreciate this could be a good move.
Celtic fans: would you be happy to see Elliot replace Gordon? Newcastle fans: should Benitez let him go?
