Tottenham are on the hunt for a new goalkeeper as Hugo Lloris looks set to depart, and Edouard Mendy has allegedly been offered to Spurs.
It was 90min who claimed that the Senegal international has been offered to Tottenham.
Now – however – Tottenham may have serious doubts about taking Edouard Mendy off Chelsea‘s hands.
What’s the story?
Well, the £22m man was largely at fault for Nottingham Forest’s opener at Stamford Bridge earlier on Saturday as Taiwo Awoniyi out jumped him to head home.
Anita Asante was watching the game for BBC Sport on Football Focus, and could not believe her eyes.
The 38-year-old said: “It’s shocking. Mendy has to get there if he’s decided to come for that ball. Awoniyi is powerful and has risen high to attack that ball but Mendy has to do better.”

Chelsea’s No.16 was making his first Premier League start since November as Frank Lampard decided to place Kepa Arrizabalaga on the bench.
Signs of rustiness were certainly there for Mendy, and the 31-year-old won’t enjoy watching that incident again.
Tottenham have alternatives to Mendy
If Spurs do end up rejecting the chance to sign Mendy, there are alternative options.
One of those is Jordan Pickford.
The Sun believe Tottenham would like to pinch the England international from Everton, with the Mirror claiming that Lloris has already played his final game for the north Londoners.
According to The Times, the France international has a £300,000-a-week offer on the table to play in Saudi Arabia.
The Evening Standard have added that Brentford’s David Raya is a target for Spurs, although they face competition from Manchester United for the Spaniard.
Be sure to keep an eye on the situation, as Tottenham look set to have a new No.1 in place for next season.
