Sheffield Wednesday fans have responded to reported Leeds United target Keiren Westwood’s post on Twitter.

Westwood made his first appearance of the season in the Championship on Saturday afternoon, as the goalkeeper featured against Preston North End.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper stated in the Owls’ 1-0 win against Preston at the Hillsborough Stadium.

The former Sunderland goalkeeper was frozen out by now-departed Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay.

After the match, Westwood posted an emotional message on Twitter, and Wednesday fans have responded to it.

Fans of the Championship club seem delighted that the 34-year-old goalkeeper is back in the team and do not want him to leave.

Westwood is out of contract at Wednesday in the summer of 2019, according to Transfermarkt.com.

According to The Mirror (print edition, page 53, December 11, 2018), the goalkeeper is set to join Leeds on a free transfer (click here to read more).

With Westwood now back in the team, he may not feel the need to leave Wednesday in the January transfer window, meaning that Leeds may have to look elsewhere for a goalkeeper.
