Sheffield Wednesday are interested in appointing Paul Lambert as their new manager.

Sheffield Wednesday are looking for a new manager following the departure of Carlos Carvalhal last month.
Carvalhal parted company with Wednesday on Christmas Eve following a run of disappointing results in the Championship.
The Owls have finished in the top six of the Championship table for the past two seasons, but there is a real danger that they could miss out on a place in the playoffs this term.
Wednesday are 16th in the league table at the moment with 30 points from 26 matches, just six points above the relegation zone.

As reported by HITC Sport earlier today, Wednesday are interested in appointing Paul Lambert as the manager.
Lambert is without a managerial job at the moment, having parted company with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of last season.
The former Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers manager, who won the Champions League in 1996-97 as a player with German club Borussia Dortmund, knows the Championship inside out.
Wednesday fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the club’s interest in Lambert.
