The Wolverhampton Wanderers winger spent part of the 2011-12 season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday.
It was only a matter of time before the Ben Marshall rumours started up again. It is claimed that Wolves will listen to offers for the winger (Express & Star) while Sheffield Wednesday are currently short in his position.
And lo and behold, the Owls are again said to be chasing their former loan player ahead of the January transfer window (Daily Star).
The newspaper – which also credits Cardiff City with interest – suggests Marshall is valued at £1 million by Wolves, who are Wednesday’s guests at Hillsborough on Friday.
Perhaps understandably, however, Sheffield Wednesday fans don’t seem to be buying it. After all, the same has been said pretty much every year since Marshall’s Owls loan spell expired in January 2012.
