Having already turned his own club’s fans against him, the Sheffield Wednesday manager, Jos Luhukay, now appears to have angered Tottenham Hotspur’s.

It follows scathing comments made by Luhukay about Wednesday’s on-loan Tottenham midfielder, Josh Onomah, after the Owls’ 2-1 defeat at Swansea on Saturday.

The Dutchman told the Sheffield Star: “He was not good enough. He brought nothing on the ball.

“He lost three, four, five balls right at the beginning (of the game). That is the reason why he came off and we changed it.

“Honestly, he had no influence on the game.”

Luhukay’s assessment appeared to baffle many at the Liberty Stadium, however, while Onomah’s half-time withdrawal caused even the Star’s Sheffield Wednesday reporter, Dom Howson, to presume the 21-year-old had suffered an injury.

Despite having made a bright start to his Hillsborough career, in which he created two goals from his first four appearances, Onomah was making his first start in more than a month at Swansea.

And some Tottenham supporters suspect a January recall could be on the cards for the Enfield product.

This is what they’re saying on Twitter…

Luhukay is under increasing pressure at Hillsborough, having seen his Wednesday side slide from sixth to 18th in the space of two months.

The Owls chairman, Dejphon Chansiri, is expected back in England this week, which many believe – and hope – will spell the end of the 55-year-old’s tenure.
