Keiren Westwood, Daniel Pudil and Almen Abdi have all recovered from knocks and are fit to face Huddersfield
Sheffield Wednesday’s Keiren Westwood
Quoted by the Sheffield Star, Carlos Carvalhal has confirmed that a host of key players are fit and ready to line up for his Sheffield Wednesday side against table-topping Huddersfield on Saturday.
There were concerns over goalkeeper Keiren Westwood as well as Daniel Pudil, Almen Abdi and Sam Hutchinson, but all four are available for selection at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Westwood and Pudil picked up knocks in the defeat to Brighton prior to the international fixtures, a break which Carvalhal said actually came at a helpful time for the Owls.
“It was important this international break,” he said: “It is important when you play a lot of games because when you have this period you can introduce more things, you can train properly with the team.”

The break was also useful when it came to getting players back to fitness, as Carvalhal explained.
“It was OK for Daniel [Pudil], for example, to improve the physical conditions,” he said, adding with regard to Westwood that “last week, no [he wasn’t fit], but this week he has been training day-by-day and now he is 100%.”
Urby Emanuelson is not quite ready to make his Owls debut
The news will be welcomed by Owls supporters, of whom a sizable number will make the short trip north to Huddersfield to see if their side can get one over the division’s early pace-setters.
Sunday’s match is likely to come too soon for Dutchman Urby Emanuelson, however, who still lacks match fitness having not played a competitive fixture since May.
Wednesday claimed their first away win of the season in their most recent fixture on the road at Blackburn, but face a tougher test this weekend. The match is being broadcast live on Sunday, and you can find out all the information you need here.
