Everton are in the market for another striker before the transfer deadline, and they have made a first bid for Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison.
That’s according to TEAMtalk, who claimed earlier this week that Everton have offered £5million to sign Jebbison.
Sheffield United aren’t too impressed, rejecting Everton’s bid – but the Toffees are expected to come back with another offer before next Tuesday’s deadline.
Jebbison, 18, only made his first Premier League start back in May – and what an evening that turned out to be for the youngster.
Somewhat ironically, the game came against Everton at Goodison Park, and Jebbison marked his first league start for the Blades with a goal.
Big, physical and mobile, Jebbison has earned comparisons to Dominic Calvert-Lewin – another striker who emerged in the Sheffield United ranks before joining – you guessed it – Everton.
Sheffield United fans have been taking to Twitter to react, and it’s fair to say they are far from happy with the prospect of selling the Canada-born talent.

Some are turning against owner Abdullah bin Musaid Al Saud, believing that the club will be ‘finished’ if Jebbison is sold.
There is a real fear that Jebbison will join Everton before the deadline, with a belief that the club is going nowhere under the current regime if they continue to sell talented players.
Others think Jebbison is the next Calvert-Lewin and the Blades would be ‘stupid’ to sell him, believing they would be making a big mistake.
