AS Roma head coach Jose Mourinho has raved about Nicolo Zaniolo amid reported interest from Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, as quoted on the Italian club’s official Twitter page.
Mourinho, a former Tottenham boss, has been impressed by how Zaniolo has been playing and training this season.
The 23-year-old Italy international attacking midfielder has been linked with a move to Tottenham this summer.
According to Calciomercato this week, Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte wants to sign Zaniolo and is ‘insisting a lot’ with the club’s Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, to get a deal done.

The Italian playmaker has had injury problems in recent times, but he is now fit and playing well.
Zaniolo has made one appearance in Serie A for Roma so far this season.
Last season, the playmaker scored two goals and gave two assists in 23 Serie A starts, and scored six goals and provided two assists in 16 league starts in 2019-20.
