Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte is determined to sign Chelsea target and AS Roma attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo in the summer transfer window, according to Calciomercato.
The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Tottenham head coach Conte is ‘insisting a lot’ with the club’s Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, to get a deal done with Roma for Zaniolo.
The 23-year-old Italy international attacking midfielder is closer to signing a new deal with Roma than to leaving the the Serie A outfit, according to the report.
Interestingly, Conte’s former club Chelsea have also been linked with Zaniolo, who has “incredible potential”, according to comments from former AS Roma player Zbigniew Boniek in New Sound Radio in July 2022.
CMW reported earlier this month that Chelsea want to sign Zaniolo from Roma in the summer transfer window and are willing to include Christian Pulisic in a swap deal.

Could Tottenham sign Chelsea target Nicolo Zaniolo?
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Nicolo Zaniolo from AS Roma in the summer transfer window if they pay what the Serie A club are looking for him.
There is speculation that Roma want €50 million (£42.46 million) for the Italian star.
If Tottenham are really keen on Zaniolo and are determined to beat Chelsea to his signature, then they should pay what Roma want for him.
It is as simple as that.
