Celtic secured a memorable 1-0 win over Rangers in the Scottish Cup final thanks to a late Adam Idah winner at Hampden Park.
For over a decade now, Celtic have dominated the domestic circuit and they ensured there is no sign of that stopping yet on Saturday.
Brendan Rodgers has taken a lot of verbal hits since returning to Celtic, but he has now won the double upon his return to Parkhead.
Celtic have brushed Rangers aside like they are a small threat and the latest win was perhaps the best of the lot because of how it all unfolded.
Rangers thought they were 1-0 ahead after the hour mark, but Abdallah Sima’s goal was ruled out when VAR spotted a foul on the retiring Joe Hart by Nicolas Raskin, with calls for the goalkeeper to stay.
That’s when it was Adam Idah’s chance to shine. This was his stage to leave Celtic, that’s if he doesn’t sign permanently, with a parting gift.
The 22-year-old, who is on loan from Championship side Norwich City, came on for Kyogo Furuhashi in what proved to be two inspired changes by the manager.
Paulo Bernardo, who has scored against Rangers this season, was also introduced into the action for Reo Hatate in the 78th minute.
Another loan player, his drive and long-range shot was parried by Jack Butland, straight into the path of the alert Idah, who proceeded to score a 90th-minute winner to the utter delight of the Celtic fans.
Another player, who proceeded to have an unforgettable loan spell at the club, Shane Duffy, was watching on from afar and he lauded his teammate on Twitter by stating ‘What a man’.
Celtic beat Rangers again
“ADAM IDAH,” wrote Duffy added with 🍀🍀🍀 💚💚. “WHAT A MAN.”

Will Celtic sign Adam Idah?
The Celtic fans will be screaming for the striker to now sign on the dotted line and join the club permanently, with Chris Sutton previously calling it a ‘smart’ transfer call.
When he arrived in January, he was a player much-needed, even if he wasn’t on top of everyone’s wishlist.

Idah has scored nine goals since his January move, including a goal at Ibrox and now on the biggest stage of them all. A cup final.
You feel the logical thing to do would be to get him signed him. Norwich missed out on promotion to the Premier League. They will have a new manager in the dugout pretty soon, so there is more uncertainty at Carrow Road.
But, at Celtic, he knows there are guaranteed trophies, working with Rodgers and playing Champions League football next season.
