Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has indicated that he could be off in January following a brilliant performance against Sunderland.

Speaking to Sky Sports via Football London, the 22-year-old attacker said that his main goal for the season is to play regular football. Nketiah has hardly featured for the Gunners this season.

The forward is yet to start a Premier League match, with Nketiah’s main source of minutes and goals coming in the League Cup as the forward bagged a hat-trick against Sunderland.

Indeed, the youngster was key to Arsenal’s 5-1 win against the League One side. And a January move is looking ever more likely following Nketiah’s comments following his display against Sunderland.

Nketiah said: “I’m just eager to play football. I’m here and under contract. As long as I play for Arsenal I’m going to give my all.”

As reported by the Athletic, Arsenal value the forward at £20m. However, with Nketiah’s deal expiring in the summer, the striker could well leave for cheap in January. Yet supporters on social media don’t like what the youngster had to say on his future.
