
Antonio Conte loaned Tanguy Ndombele back to Lyon in the January window, and the Tottenham midfielder continues to impress for his former side.
The 25-year-old was once again in the starting XI for the Ligue 1 side last night as Lyon faced second-place OGC Nice, with Ndombele once again having a fantastic game for his boyhood club.
Ndombele impressed last week in Lyon’s 2-0 loss to AS Monaco, and the midfielder was once again in top form last night as Peter Bosz’s side returned to winning ways against the breakout team in France this campaign.
It wasn’t just Lyon fans who were impressed with Ndombele, though, with multiple French football outlets lauding the Tottenham loanee for his incredible and influential display against Nice.

L’Equipe are infamous for their strict player ratings, yet even the famous French sports daily were stunned by Ndombele’s performance for Lyon against Nice, with the publication awarding the Tottenham loanee a stunning 8/10 rating.
It wasn’t just L’Equipe who were impressed with Ndombele, with Maxi Foot also handing the Frenchman an 8/10 rating, with the website lauding the 25-year-old for his ‘monstrous’ and ‘sensational’ display against Nice and noting his calmness and quality on the ball.

As well as French publications, English outlets were also amazed by the Tottenham midfielder, with GFFN lauding Ndombele as ‘superb’ in the Lyon midfield as the Ligue 1 side claimed one of the best results of the season.
Ndombele might not have impressed for Tottenham or under Conte, but the midfielder is already making a name for himself back in his homeland with the club where everything started for the talented 25-year-old.
