Jose Enrique has told Barcelona to ‘sell’ Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Ansu Fati amid his current situation at the Nou Camp.

The former left-back posted on Twitter that Fati, who is unhappy with his current role under Xavi, needs to look at himself and not blame the manager.

The 20-year-old has started nine La Liga games this season, with the Catalan side, amid their financial mess and struggles, are still sitting at top of the tree.

There are still plenty of games left in the tank, but the eight-point gap between Barca and Real Madrid is going to take a collapse of some sort for it to be broken.

Donning the famous number 10 shirt and coming through the club’s academy, puts extra light, expectations and pressure on Fati’s shoulders.

But he’s clearly unhappy that he isn’t being pushed as much as the midfield sensations – Gavi and Pedri – and if that’s the case, then Enrique had a simple message for the player.

“Well, it looks like they need to make some money, so maybe it’s good to sell him,” said Enrique. “For the club and for him too.

“But sometimes players should look at themselves when they are not playing and maybe not the manager. The mistake is actually yours.”

ARSENAL AND TOTTENHAM INTEREST

When Fabrizio Romano breaks a transfer story, you know there isn’t anybody else to believe.

The Italian journalist has recently stated that Fati could head for the Barcelona exit doors in the summer, with interest from the likes of Spurs and Arsenal.

The Spain international has a whopping £900 million release clause in his contract, and in this crazy-inflated footballing transfer world, that shouldn’t be a surprise.
