Some Leeds United fans have responded to Rodrigo De Paul’s latest post on Twitter and have urged him to move to Elland Road.

De Paul has long been linked with Leeds, and there is still speculation regarding the Udinese attacking midfielder and a move to Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

The Sun reported in January 2021 that Leeds are looking at making a move for the £40 million-rated attacking midfielder in the summer of 2021.

The report in the British tabloid added that West Yorkshire outfit wanted to sign the Argentina international last summer as well.

YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, who said in January that he has invested in Leeds, observed on Twitter in February that the Whites’ fans seem to want to sign De Paul.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Phil Hay, who now works as the Leeds correspondent for The Athletic, said on his podcast last month that De Paul to Elland Road has a been a constant source of discussion in Italy and is a name that keeps doing the rounds, as covered by HITC Sport.

On Saturday, De Paul made a post on Twitter following Udinese’s 2-1 win against Crotone away from home in Serie A.

When translated from Italian, the post reads: “Let’s fight and enjoy together, Like a real family.”

Some Leeds fans have responded to the 26-year-old’s post and have urged him to move to Elland Road this summer, as shown below.

According to WhoScored, De Paul, who can also operate as a winger, has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 30 Serie A games for Udinese so far this season.

Leeds have a very good attacking unit, but there is always room for quality players.

Moreover, healthy competition among teammates is very important, and De Paul would add that to the Leeds team.

Pablo Hernandez is not getting any younger, and if the Spaniard is not in the team for next season and beyond, then a replacement will be needed.

Rodrigo and Tyler Roberts can play in the number 10 role, and De Paul’s addition would make that position even stronger and would give another option to head coach Marcelo Bielsa.
