Speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, Jamie Vardy has heralded the managerial ability of Brendan Rodgers amid rumours he could be in line for a top job.

Rodgers has been linked with a number of different roles since joining Leicester, including the Barcelona job at one point, but in more recent times he’s been strongly linked to the Tottenham job.

With Spurs once again faltering on Friday evening and the club reportedly drawing up plans for life after Jose Mourinho, there could soon be an opening in north London, and based on Vardy’s comments, Rodgers could be a brilliant replacement.

“He’s been absolutely brilliant, absolutely brilliant. He’s come in and came in with a plan and a philosophy that he wanted and everyone bought into it. He’s made little tweaks along the way with certain individuals. His man-management skills are second to none and he’s been absolutely brilliant,” Vardy said.

Rodgers has done wonders for Vardy at Leicester, and he could cement his place in history at the King Power Stadium if he secures them a top four finish and an FA Cup triumph.

It makes sense for big clubs to be looking at Rodgers. After all, his CV is incredibly impressive.

Whether or not he makes a move to Tottenham in the summer remains to be seen, but if he does, it seems as though Spurs will be getting an ‘absolutely brilliant’ manager.
