Tottenham Hotspur could make a move for Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers as Jose Mourinho’s replacement, the Daily Mail report.

Rodgers has a number of admirers at Tottenham, with Jose Mourinho now said to be feeling the pressure.

The Mail claim that while Mourinho is unlikely to be sacked by Spurs in mid-season, there is now some talk that he could go at the end of the campaign.

Tottenham have performed below expectations this term and while they do have a cup final to look forward to their position of ninth in the Premier League table is a huge concern.

The style of Spurs’s performances has also caused great criticism, with Mourinho’s men showing very little attacking intent at times.

Rodgers now has a growing list of admirers within Spurs’s camp, as he continues to impress at Leicester.

Rodgers has the Foxes sat firmly in the top four, with Leicester continuing to play entertaining and attractive football.

Although he doesn’t have a track record of success like Mourinho’s, Rodgers is regarded as one of the most forward thinking coaches in the Premier League.

And it could be an intriguing option for Tottenham, if the North London side do decide to make a change.
