Nottingham Forest loaned out Ryan Yates to Scunthorpe United over the past campaign.

Scunthorpe United fans have suggested that Nottingham Forest should give them Ryan Yates in exchange for Hakeeb Adelakun.

Yates spent last season at loan with Scunthorpe from Forest, and the central midfielder seriously impressed.

Iron fans lavished praise on Yates regularly, with his performances consistently catching the eye.

And now HITC have broken the news that Forest want Adelakun, Scunny fans feel that a trade deal could suit both parties.

Whether Scunthorpe would have the power to demand a swap deal for Adelakun remains to be seen.

The winger is running out of contract, but Forest would have to pay compensation to land him.

Aitor Karanka is yet to confirm whether Yates will have a role to play at the City Ground next season.

There is growing clamour among Forest fans for him to be given a chance, but the Reds are expected to spend heavily in the summer, which could increase competition for places in Karanka’s first-team.
