Kenny Miller has told The Scottish Sun that Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has been superb for Steven Gerrard’s side this season.

The former Rangers striker has raved about McGregor, and believes that the saves that the goalkeeper has made for the Ibrox club this season have been stunning.

Miller played with McGregor during the latter’s first spell at Rangers, and he rates the 39-year-old highly.

The former Rangers striker told The Scottish Sun about McGregor: “He has been absolutely phenomenal this season, even at the age of 39. Some of the saves he’s made are incredible.”

Big player for Rangers

McGregor is one of the best goalkeepers in the Scottish Premiership and has been brilliant for Rangers this season.

The Scotsman made some brilliant saves in the league, and his performances in Europe also helped Gerrard’s team reach the Europa League Round of 16.

The 39-year-old recently signed a new contract with the Gers, and given his performances for Rangers in his second spell at the club, it is fair to say that he will stay as the first choice between the posts next season as well.

Former Scotland international striker Miller – who now works as the assistant manager at Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia – also disagreed with Celtic interim-manager John Kennedy’s recent claim that the Hoops are the best team in Scotland on their day.
