Scottie Scheffler is putting together a run of form we haven’t seen since Tiger Woods was in his prime.
Scheffler picked up his fifth win of the season at the BMW Championship on Sunday, bringing his career total to 18 PGA Tour victories.

He’s also claimed four majors in the past three years, which has naturally led to early comparisons with Woods.
The race for PGA Tour Player of the Year now looks wrapped up too, thanks to Scheffler’s remarkable run over the past two seasons. He’s not just a top ball-striker; he’s become one of golf’s toughest competitors too.
His comments before The Open about feeling unfulfilled by winning were widely misunderstood. You don’t rack up 18 wins and four majors in three and a half years without serious drive and commitment to your game.
With his record, there’s nothing left for him to prove. Scheffler has already shown what he’s capable of and is enjoying one of the best stretches we’ve seen since Woods’ dominance.

Scheffler’s run since 2022 has been truly remarkable. 18 PGA Tour wins, four major championships, two Hero World Challenges and an Olympic gold medal all in the space of three-and-a-half years is a simply outstanding return.
And incredibly, he has surpassed the careers of five exceptionally successful PGA Tour stars during that stunning period of golf.
Jordan Spieth has 13 tour wins and three majors on his résumé, while Jason Day has the same amount of PGA Tour wins as Spieth, but with only one major to his name.
Justin Rose rounds out this group with 12 wins and a major title to his name. The fact that Scheffler has put together a career surpassing all of those players in just over three years is remarkable in itself.
Scheffler’s consistency and ability to keep winning at such a pace since 2022 have been remarkable to watch. The fact that he’s already matched or passed what Thomas, Scott, Spieth, Day and Rose have done over their entire careers says a lot about where he stands in the game now. And there’s no sign he’ll be slowing down anytime soon.

Scheffler has been the dominant force in world golf for quite some time now, and that hasn’t changed. Scheffler has more wins and more major titles than any of those players, and he’s done
it in fewer events. He’s played 101 fewer tournaments than Thomas, who has the least among them.
The 29-year-old is clearly on a path toward golfing greatness. He only needs one more major to complete the Grand Slam, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he did it at the US Open at Shinnecock Hills in 2026.
It also wouldn’t be a shock if, in 10 years’ time, Scheffler had at least 10 majors and 50 PGA Tour wins to his name.
