Jack Hendry joined Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic in January 2018.

The 35-year-old former Celtic and Australia international star praised Hendry for persevering despite having made a disappointing start to his career at the Hoops.
McDonald made the comments about the the 23-year-old defender in the build-up to the Europa League match between RB Salzburg and Celtic on Thursday evening.
The 35-year-old said about Hendry on BT Sport 3 on Thursday evening (5:36pm, October 4, 2018): “What I like about Hendry, Hendry has had a rough start to his Celtic career, but he keeps going and he keeps going.”
Disappointing
Hendry joined Celtic from Dundee in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £1.2 million.

The 23-year-old defender has struggled to play well for the Hoops when he has been given the chance, and his performance against Salzburg in the second half left much to be desired.
There have been signs of improvements at times, but it is clear that the Scotland international has to improve.
Hendry has been criticised this season by fans of Celtic and Scotland, as reported by HITC Sport here, here and here.
