Scotland World Cup fans have been invited back to Fenway Park this week after the Boston Red Sox included a free drink with tickets to their midweek games.
The Scotland National Team posted that supporters had “brought the noise to Fenway on Sunday night” and encouraged them to return for Red Sox games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The message highlighted that the Red Sox were offering a free first drink with each ticket, with details available through the official Scotland app.
Scotland fans encouraged to return to Fenway Park
The invitation was aimed at supporters already in Boston during Scotland’s World Cup campaign.
Fenway Park had already become part of the trip, with fans turning up at the ballpark on Sunday night.
The return was also noticed in baseball circles, with Talkin’ Baseball posting: “The Scots are back at Fenway Park.”
It was another crossover moment between Scotland’s travelling support and one of Major League Baseball’s most famous stadiums.
Fenway Park has become part of Scotland’s World Cup story
The Red Sox had already hosted a Scottish Celebration ticket package on 14 June, which included a Scotland-themed Red Sox jersey.
The Tartan Army’s presence at Fenway was also featured in coverage of Scotland World Cup fans visiting Fenway Park.
There was further public attention on the Tartan Army marching to Fenway Park, giving the trip another visible image beyond the football pitch.
The free drink offer now gives fans another reason to head back, and it has made Fenway Park one of the more unexpected gathering points of Scotland’s World Cup trip.
