Daniel Cormier has pushed back on claims that he leaked a controversial message exchange over the weekend.

The former light heavyweight and heavyweight champion was working alongside Joe Rogan and Jon Anik, covering the event from Las Vegas’ Sphere.

But shortly before the broadcast started, screenshots surfaced from Cormier’s account showing what appeared to be a direct message conversation with Eric Trump.

Daniel Cormier insists he wasn’t behind the message leak

In one of the messages, Eric Trump appeared to ask Cormier if he had heard about any “rigged” UFC White House fights.

“I’m probably going to get a lot of flak for bringing this to light, however I refuse to stay silent,” the caption read. “The UFC is a sport I am deeply passionate about. I will not tolerate this type of insider behaviour. Shame on anyone trying to ruin this beautiful event.”

Cormier didn’t respond until after the event had wrapped up and addressed it when speaking with Nicholas Ballasy.

“They are not real,” Cormier said when asked about his X post by Nicholas Ballasy.

“I can’t believe you guys believed that. Who believes that?

“I got hacked or something. Who believes stuff like that? That’s crazy.”

Cormier was then asked whether he had posted it, and replied: “No. Why would I do that?

The journalist then asked if people who claimed they saw him post the screenshots were mistaken, and Cormier replied: “Yeah, absolutely.”

Eric Trump suggests messages linked to Daniel Cormier were created using AI

Eric Trump was quick to distance himself from the alleged messages linking him to the UFC White House rigging claims involving Daniel Cormier.

He took to social media to deny any involvement, posting: “This is completely fake! I have never reached out to Daniel. In fact, this is scary.”

Trump later added: “We are aware of the fake, AI-generated screenshots being circulated online. I have never spoken to Daniel. He has since deleted his post, which confirms it was clearly fabricated.@UFC @danawhite.”

Cormier then posted: “Are people really this dumb?” appearing to support Trump’s side of things.

But ‘DC’ didn’t say much else until after all the fights had finished. It seems like he’ll be spending time today dealing with a possible hack on one of his accounts.
