Some Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson’s ban getting upheld.

Patterson is among five Rangers players who have had their ban upheld for breaching coronavirus rules back in February.

As reported by BBC Sport, Patterson, Bongani Zungu, Calvin Bassey, Dapo Mebude and Brian Kinnear were all charged after attending an illegal house party.

Each player received a six-game ban, but Rangers decided to appeal against it, which left Patterson eligible to play against Celtic in the Scottish Cup.

With James Tavernier injured in the build-up to the Old Firm derby at Ibrox, it allowed Rangers manager Steven Gerrard to prepare for the match with Patterson in the squad.

The 19-year-old right-back started the derby, with Tavernier fit enough only for the substitutes’ bench.

Rangers won the tie against Celtic to virtually end the season of their bitter Old Firm rivals.

Some Celtic fans are not happy at all that it took so long for the SFA hearing and have slammed the decision on Twitter.
