Bukayo Saka has raved about his Arsenal teammate Pierre‑Emerick Aubameyang in The Guardian.
The Arsenal winger has said that Aubameyang is an important player in the dressing room.
The England international made the comments about Aubameyang while reflecting on how he got the nickname ‘petit piment’ or ‘little chilli’.
You can read Saka explaining it in The Guardian, but below is the part that is very interesting, amid claims that Arsenal could sell Aubameyang.
The Telegraph reported this month that there are murmurs that Arsenal could sell the 31-year-old Gabon international striker.
Bukayo Saka comments
Saka told The Guardian: “I’m grateful, I love it (a gift from Aubameyang – a chain featuring a red chilli with a silver stem and his surname embossed in silver block capitals on it), it’s unique.
“It’s a show of how great a character Auba is, how important he is for me and, I’d say, for the team in terms of the happiness and the vibes in the dressing room.”

Arsenal cannot sell Pierre‑Emerick Aubameyang
Okay, Aubameyang did not have a great season in 2020-21.
The former Borussia Dortmund striker scored just 10 goals and gave three assists in the Premier League.
Aubameyang also scored three goals and gave one assist in the Europa League this past campaign.

Some will point out that Aubameyang is 31, and that he is on a huge salary.
However, Aubameyang is a very good striker and is a proven goalscorer.
One bad season does not mean that the 31-year-old striker is finished.
As Saka points out, Aubameyang is a key figure in the dressing room who keeps the Arsenal players’ spirits up.
