Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Jamie Redknapp’s comments on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Sky Sports at the weekend.
Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Redknapp was not impressed by the performance of Aubameyang during Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Gabon international striker, who is a big player for the Gunners, scored a hat-trick against Leeds United, but he failed to take a big chance against Benfica in the Europa League last Thursday evening.
The 31-year-old could not make a massive impact against Pep Guardiola’s side at the weekend, leaving Redknapp very unimpressed.
Redknapp told Sky Sports: “Aubameyang is past his best. He’s going to have moments; he’s going to get hat-tricks. But when I watch him sometimes, it’s like he’s lost his superpower.
“I saw him run past people when he first came to the Premier League. I saw him run past people at Dortmund. Now I’m seeing a player who looks like he’s going to get bullied.”
Aubameyang has not been in great form this season and has failed to score on a regular basis.

According to WhoScored, the striker has scored eight goals and provided one assist in 19 Premier League starts for the Gunners this campaign.
However, the striker remains one of the best in the business in the Premier League.
Some Arsenal fans on Twitter have responded to Redknapp’s comments on Aubameyang.
While some agree with his remarks, there are others who do not, with one supporter using the examples of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane Liverpool forward Sadio Mane to defend Aubameyang.
