Sabah Homasi ended up losing on Friday night, even after dropping his opponent earlier in the fight.
Former WWE tag team champion Gzim Selmani made his first appearance in BKFC last week, delivering a memorable finish on debut.
The promotion is no stranger to gruesome injuries, and Jay McFarlane’s eye injury during the main event in Newcastle only added to that reputation.
Back in the US on March 20, a former MMA fighter’s instincts led to his disqualification when the referee stepped in.
Sabah Homasi disqualified after spinning backfist breaks Leonel Carrera’s nose

Sabah Homasi went into Friday night’s event at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, with a 1-1 record in BKFC.
He took on Leonel Carrera at BKFC 87, and a move that would have been legal in MMA ended up costing him the fight because of the injury it caused.
Homasi missed a big left hand but kept moving forward, throwing a spinning backfist that knocked Carrera down.
Carrera immediately told the referee he’d broken his nose before the doctor got involved and stopped the fight.
In response to comments under the post, 8-fight BKFC veteran Christian Torres confirmed the move is illegal under promotion rules. “Yes, these are very illegal and we are warned in the back and rules meetings to not throw them as well.”
The 37-year-old has a professional MMA record of 17-12 and fought three times in UFC before making twelve appearances under Bellator’s banner.
