Tottenham Hotspur interim-manager Ryan Mason has admitted to Football.London that Harry Kane may not be fit for the EFL Cup final.

Kane suffered an ankle injury during Tottenham’s Premier League game against Everton last Friday evening.

The England international striker, who scored both the goals for Spurs in the game, had to be substituted.

Tottenham will take on Southampton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

The North London club will then face Manchester City in the EFL Cup final this coming weekend.

Spurs interim-manager Mason has said that Kane did not train today, and that he is not sure if the 27-year-old will be fit for the EFL Cup final against City.

Mason said about Kane today, as quoted in Football.London: “Not sure. Didn’t train today. Taking it day by day. Not sure about the weekend yet.”

Bad news for Tottenham Hotspur fans

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world, and without him in the team, Spurs will have a huge disadvantage against City.

The Citizens have arguably the strongest squad in the Premier League, and they will head into the final as the favourites, and without Kane for Spurs, they will fancy their chances of winning the game even more.
