Leeds United fans think that Jack Clarke will be seriously regretting leaving them now.
Why’s that then?
TeamTalk suggested yesterday that Clarke was set to leave Tottenham Hotspur on loan in January, with Derby County keen on him.
Since leaving Leeds permanently the young winger has already been on three different loan spells, but has failed to make an impact on any of them.
Clarke has also only made four appearances for Tottenham Hotspur’s first-team in the last two years, and is still awaiting his Premier League debut.
There is now an argument to suggest that if he had stayed at Leeds, where he would have been playing far more regularly, his development would have been far better served.
And Leeds fans certainly feel that Clarke may be regretting turning his back on Elland Road now.
Backwards step?
If Clarke does move to Derby on loan he would by joining the Championship’s bottom side.
Leeds, meanwhile, have moved up the divisions since his departure and are now thriving as a Premier League club.
The 20-year-old surely would have been involved with Marcelo Bielsa’s side in some capacity if he had stuck around.

Clarke’s focus now will be on making his time at Tottenham a success and turning his fortunes around.
Unfortunately for the youngster he faces fierce competition to make the grade in the first-team though.
Tottenham have the likes of Heung-Min Son, Steven Bergwijn, Byran Gil, Giovani Lo Celso and Lucas Moura who are all capable of playing out wide, and Clarke has not yet proven that he is able to compete with those elite players.
Even if he had stayed at Leeds there would be no guarantees of him being a regular starter right now.
Leeds have brought in Daniel James and Raphinha to play out wide, with the money raised from Clarke’s £10 million sale (The Sun) going some way to pay for their transfer fees.
