Joleon Lescott said on Sky Sports News (2:40pm, March 6, 2021) that Leeds United could get a rude awakening against West Ham United tonight.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa central defender, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that Leeds cannot go one-v-one against West Ham at London Stadium in the Premier League.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side will take on the Hammers away from home at London Stadium in the Premier League this evening.

Lescott said on Sky Sports News (2:40pm, March 6, 2021): “I think if Leeds go in this game thinking one v one our players are better than yours, they could come for a rude awakening, in my opinion.”

Leeds United should stick to their philosophy

Leeds have stuck to their philosophy throughout this season, and even when they are losing games, they do not change.

Bielsa is unlikely to change his tactics against the Hammers, and with Kalvin Phillips reportedly set to start, the West Yorkshire club will feel confident of picking up all three points from the encounter.

Leeds have lost big this season, so a heavy loss against the Hammers would not really change Bielsa’s mindset for the rest of the season.

The Whites have gone down 4-2 to Arsenal, 6-2 to Manchester United, 4-1 to Crystal Palace and 4-1 to Leicester City this season.
