Phil Hay has written in The Athletic that Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips is likely to start against West Ham United this evening.
Leeds will take on West Ham away from home at London Stadium in the Premier League in a few hours’ time.
Phillips has not been playing in recent game due to injury, but the England international midfielder has been training with the team over the past few days.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Hay, who now works as the Leeds United corresponded for The Athletic, has said that the 25-year-old is likely to start against West Ham in the Premier League game in London tonight.
Hay wrote in The Athletic: “Some good news, though. Kalvin Phillips and Rodrigo are both with the squad and our understanding is that Phillips is likely to start tonight.
“Gaetano Berardi has also made the trip and this would be his first appearance in a matchday squad since damaging his ACL at Derby last season.”

Big boost for Leeds United
Phillips is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and is a key figure in the current Leeds team.
The 25-year-old potentially starting tonight will enhance Leeds’s chances of winning the Premier League game against the Hammers, who are aiming to finish in the top four.
According to WhoScored, the midfielder has provided two assists in 18 Premier League appearances for Leeds so far this season.
