Rangers dropped points for only the fourth time this season

Allan McGregor has delivered a scathing verdict on Rangers’ performance against Hamilton Accies.
The veteran keeper’s own goal in the final moments of injury time earned the home side a deserved point, but he was Rangers’ best player by some distance and was named Man of the Match by Sky Sports.
A Brian Easton own goal at the other end 10 minutes from time looked to have secured a victory for Steven Gerrard’s men, but they were unable to hold on.
The result means Rangers are now 21 points ahead of Celtic in the title race, with Neil. Lennon’s side having two games in hand.

Speaking on Sky Sports after the match, McGregor refused to hold back in his assessment of their performance.
The 39-year-old said: “Rubbish. For most of the game we were very, very poor.
“Worst I’ve seen us. A good bit of play for our goal, but apart from that not a lot you can take from that.”
Asked he would put that down to, McGregor replied: “Don’t know. Didn’t look like we wanted to win the game. Hamilton looked more of a threat than us, which is really disappointing.
“All credit to them, but we were just so poor today.”
When it was put to him that he had to make more saves today than in any other league game this season, he responded: “Sums it up. Sums up how bad we were.”

Asked if he could take any pleasure from his own performance, he said: “No. I’d rather be rubbish and win.”
On Gerrard’s reaction in the dressing room, McGregor said: “He’s obviously not happy. Neither am I.
“I just need to get on with it and look forward to the next game.”
When it was put to him that being so far ahead in the league might have led to Rangers players thinking it was easier, he replied: “We shouldn’t think that.
“We should take one game at a time and do what you need to do to win that game, and then whatever happens, happens.
“You can’t control anything else. Control the next game, that’s it.”
