Roy Keane has said on Sky Sports that he does not think that Antonio Conte’s Spurs will finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.

The Manchester United legend does not count Tottenham Hotspur among the challengers for the Premier League top four this campaign.

Keane was left stunned by fellow Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards when he suggested that Spurs are a possible candidate for the Champions League places.

Roy Keane on Spurs

Former Manchester City defender Richards said on the Micah Richards & Roy Keane Driving Home for Christmas | Episode 2 on Sky Sports: “Let’s move onto the chasing pack. You have got the West Hams. You have got the Spurs, the Arsenals.”

Keane responded: “Go easy on Spurs. Honestly, are you suggesting Spurs are a threat to the top four?”

Roy Keane is wrong about Spurs

In our opinion, Sky Sports pundit Keane is wrong about Tottenham.

Tottenham are genuine challengers for the Premier League top four this season.

There is absolutely no doubt about it.

Just look at the Premier League table at the moment.

Antonio Conte’s side are only six points behind fourth-placed and North London rivals Arsenal.

And Tottenham have three games in hand.

Conte is starting to make an impact at Tottenham, and we can all see that.

Spurs earned a point against high-flying and free-scoring Liverpool in the Premier League at the weekend.

And they deserved it.

Now, of course, we do not think that Spurs are ready to challenge for the Premier League title with the squad they have at the moment.

However, Spurs are certainly good enough to finish above Arsenal, West Ham United and Manchester United in fourth.
