Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Nahitan Nandez from Cagliari in the January transfer window, Calciomercato.

Leeds and Tottenham wanted to sign Nandez in the summer of 2021, but no move materialised at the time.

The two Premier League clubs have continued to follow the Uruguay international midfielder.

Calciomercato have added that although Nandez has a release clause of €36 million (£30.67 million), Cagliari could sell him for less.

Tottenham Hotspur over Leeds United for Nahitan Nandez

In our view, Tottenham would have advantage over Leeds for Nandez right now.

Spurs have a world-class manager in Antonio Conte and are back in the race for the Premier League top four.

We know all about Conte and the titles he has won at Juventus, Inter Milan and Chelsea.

Now, of course, Bielsa is a brilliant manager, but Leeds are in danger of getting relegated from the Premier League.

Just like Cagliari could end up going down from Serie A.

Would the 25-year-old be wiling to leave a struggling club for another in the January transfer window?

In our view, no, he won’t.

Moreover, Nandez earns £39,000 per week (Salary Sport), which Spurs can easily better.
