Roy Keane has said on ITV (7pm, September 5, 2021) that Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford will bounce back from a rather disappointing debut for England.
Leeds striker Bamford made his debut for England in their 2022 World Cup qualifier against Andorra today.
The former Chelsea striker, who is celebrating his birthday today, started for the Three Lions.
Bamford could not make an impact and was substituted in the 62nd minute.
England went on to win the game 4-0.
Former Manchester United midfielder Keane was following the match for ITV, and he believes that Bamford will bounce back.

Keane said on ITV (7pm, September 5, 2021): “Gareth’s not going to judge the man only on today.
“You are a striker, you are playing against Andorra, and you think that you are going to get chances.
“He probably didn’t get as many chances as he thought, but that’s the life of a striker. He will bounce back from that, no problem.”

Bouncing back
Bamford had one good chance, but the Leeds striker could not get his shot on target.
The Leeds striker did make some good runs, but he did not demand the ball enough and his teammates could not find him with their passes in good areas.
It was a disappointing performance from Bamford, but not everyone stars on their debut.
The Leeds no.9 took two shots and one was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 80%, won one header, took 17 touches, and made one tackle.
