Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool could win the Premier League title today ahead of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, but for that to happen, they need a favour from Aston Villa and Anfield legend Steven Gerrard.

Liverpool need Aston Villa to take points off of Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, and they themselves need to win against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield on the final day of the Premier League season.

Liverpool are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 89 points from 37 matches, a point behind leaders and last season’s champions Manchester City.

Villa manager Steven Gerrard has made an interesting change to the starting lineup against City.

Aston Villa team news affects Liverpool and Manchester City

Goalkeeper Robin Olsen will make his debut for the Villans, replacing Emiliano Martinez between the posts.

It has not gone down well among the Liverpool fans, as former Arsenal goalkeeper Martinez is one of the best in his position in the Premier League.

City have one of the most potent attacking units in Europe, and Olsen could be in trouble today.

Manchester United legend Roy Keane believes that Olsen starting today is a worry for Villa, given how strong City are.

Roy Keane’s verdict

Keane said on Sky Sports Premier League (3:04pm, March 22, 2022): “You do worry about the goalkeeper and the back-four.

“Of course, City will dominate possession as we know, but it is a big concern for Aston Villa.

“If you are a Villa fan, you are looking at that goalkeeper and the back-four, and I would be worried, yeah.”
