Roy Keane claimed on Sky Sports Premier League (1:45pm, March 7, 2020) that Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and James Milner are not happy at Liverpool.
The Manchester United legend, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, pointed out that forwards Salah and Mane and versatile player Milner were not happy when they were substituted in games this season.
The former Republic of Ireland international made the comments in the build-up to the Premier League game between Liverpool and Fulham at Anfield, which the Reds lost 1-0.
Keane said on Sky Sports Premier League (1:45pm, March 7, 2020), as transcribed by The Express: “I don’t think they’re a happy group. I look at players who were taken off, and I obviously don’t expect a player to be happy to be taken off, but shaking their head, sitting in the stand, not great body language.
“We saw it again with Salah during the week, we saw it with [Sadio] Mane down at Palace, with [James] Milner at West Ham. I don’t think they’re a happy group and I think to make that many changes, OK there are a couple of changes and there are games coming up, but I think he’s thought, ‘enough is enough’.”

Reading too much?
No player is happy when he is taken off if he is not injured, and the reactions of Mane, Salah and Milner were natural.
Perhaps the trio should have been less overt in the expressions of their emotions in front of TV cameras, but in the heat of the moment these things happen. It is a positive sign that Mane, Salah and Milner wanted to play on and not come off.
There can be no doubt that the Liverpool trio respect manager Jurgen Klopp, and while they may not always agree with their decisions, they will know that whatever the German does, he does it for the good of the team.
