Michael Owen has claimed on Twitter that Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo should have been awarded three penalties against West Ham United at London Stadium today.

The former United striker was not impressed by Ronaldo not getting spot kicks in the Red Devils’ 2-1 win against West Ham in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Portugal international forward scored in the first half.

Owen has also said that the Hammers deservedly got the late penalty.

Luke Shaw was penalised for a handball offence.

Mark Noble came on as a substitute deep into injury time to take the penalty.

The West Ham midfielder could not get his shot past David De Gea in the United goal.

The potential penalty decisions that went against Ronaldo were controversial, especially the one that involved Kurt Zouma.

Some will say that even the handball decision on Shaw was controversial.

United will probably not moan a lot, as they got the win in the end.

West Ham fans will probably regret Moyes’s decision to bring on Noble for the spot kick instead of asking one of the players already on the pitch to take it.
