Ronaldo Nazario is expecting a very close affair between England and Argentina in Wednesday’s World Cup semi-final clash.

Spain await the winner of the second semi-final after they stunned France to win 2-0 and book their ticket to the MetLife Stadium for Sunday.

Now, Jude Bellingham is looking to fire the Three Lions to their first World Cup final since 1966; meanwhile, Lionel Messi is hoping to make it back-to-back finals.

Ahead of the match, the Brazilian legend has been discussing how he thinks the game will play out in Atlanta.

Ronaldo backs the draw between England and Argentina

Ronaldo believes that England versus Argentina will end in a draw and thinks the second World Cup semi-final is too close to call right now.

The two-time World Cup winner believes that La Albiceleste have the slight edge because of Messi, but he is also a huge fan of Harry Kane and Bellingham.

Speaking to Entrevista, Ronaldo said: “Argentina and England, I see a much more balanced game.

“Both teams are at a very similar level, playing much more with grit, willpower, and determination.

“Perhaps Argentina has a slight advantage called Messi, who is a player who can unbalance the game at any moment.

“However, England has Harry Kane, a player I love to watch, and I’m very proud that he’s having a wonderful World Cup.

“They also have Bellingham playing wonderfully well. So, I’m not really going to risk predicting this game, but I see a draw. I’m going to sit on the fence about this result.”

The clash between Argentina and England is set to be rather feisty with the two nations renewing a long-standing rivalry.

Argentina sent England packing in 1986 and 1998, but the Three Lions will be desperate for revenge at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
