Dutchman is an outsider for the Glasgow Rangers job.

Caixinha was fired this week after his poor start as manager showed no sign of improvement.

Koeman is was dismissed by Everton after an underwhelming start to the season after a summer spending spree.
Koeman is a big advocate of bringing young players through, and gave Rangers advice regarding this in 2012.
This was just after a time when the club had been liquidated and were restarting in the lower leagues of Scottish football.

Koeman had experienced similar financial problems at Feyenoord, and gave his tips to the Gers.
The Daily Record reported Koeman’s comments: “When a club is in financial trouble there is only one way forward for the manager and that is to work with the young talent. The academy is more important than ever.
“We have almost 50,000 fans watching home games and if everybody is behind them there is so much you can achieve.
“Financially we cannot compete now but the joy of the fans is even greater when they see their own boys on the field competing for titles.”
Rangers are unable to compete with Celtic financially, and so far this has been evident on the pitch too.
Koeman’s experience in management along with his faith in youth could be a winning combination for Rangers if they can persuade him to take over, providing their view of him is not tainted by his recent Everton departure.
